i just read an article about 'Online Friends Vs. Real Life Friends: A Comparison'... comparing online friends to real life friends, what's the difference between the two??? to me, its the same. online friends are my real life friends. the connection between us are connected by the same person as we are. they many not be around in person, but they are more genuine than the rest of my so called friends i have known and spent time with in person. I can always count on my online friends, and i'm always there for them, to support them....distance is not really that important in making friendship, its how you value each other. they say internet is full of scams, lies, etc, but so what? are we all like that sometimes???? our world is full of evil, in cyberworld or real word etc, its the same, violence happened everywhere, wars, killings, etc.. if you want to find good friends anywhere, try to be real and be true to yourself.

What is a real friend? And a virtual friend? If you talk with a person and start to feel something of attractive towards him, it means that that person is in fact a friend of yours ...it doesn't matter if it is behind a screen or in the flesh...but sometimes appearance plays a vital role...sometimes there move away from those who physically is not synchronized with his thinking, sometimes the first impression is not the right one....but when you find a person with whom you are really well and with whome you can talk about everything else is less important

My online friends mean a lot to me. I have a couple of online friends that I have known for 6 years or more and during that time we have become very close. We share a lot of things and we write about our lives and our experiences. I recently received an email from an online friend and she wrote that she considered me a very close friend and that our friendship was very impoertant to her. I feel the same way, and she means a lot to me. Of course there are some differences between online friends and friends that we meet face to face. We can't just invite an online friend over for a cup of coffee, go shopping together, watch a movie together etc, but we can share so many other things.

We can find real online friends. I know it is possible coz I have a few. I think it is really by just being yourself and in showing your sincerity that counts.

I think real and online friends can be about the same, like when you first start talking to them you should be cautious about what you say because you dont know how these people are. And then slowly as the relationship progresses, then you can either continue or discard the friendship. But i still would be extra cautious with Online Friends, since nowadays people can be deceptive and create fake accounts. I've only had a few online friends mostly I interact with people who I know personally (in real life)
