Ok. All noted. Thanks for turning the Chrome issue up too. I have only used Firefox so far. I hadn't had time yet to test with other browsers.

Not a bug report but something to consider and develop along the lines of the Great Firewall.
I don't know what mylot 2013 is all about and if it is really heading towards SNS then I have to be prepared to be denied access one day and you will loose ALL access from China members.

Can you elaborate a bit? I know some internet content is censored there, but I don't know what specific content and what sort of tech they use to do so. What exactly do you mean by "heading towards SNS"?

@topffer Ok, I get what you mean. I will definitely make sure someone is made aware of this possibility and hopefully they can find a way to avoid it.

I'm not sure whether it's a "bug" or a "feature" but there is no way in which one can close one's account.
Recommending a post can become unwieldy if one has more than just a few followers/following. If there were a way of beginning to type a name so that it would filter the list, it would be much more useful.
Also can it be made possible to recommend a discussion to oneself? OK, so you might say 'why would you want to do this?' but it looks to be the only viable way of 'starring' a post as one to come back to or to keep on the back burner.
There also seems to be no real meaning to "Interesting Posts" unless the site is writing cookies about the tags/posts I visit the most.

1. This is something others have noted as well. It brings a line from an eagles song to mind, so if it's a feature, it's a creepy one. On the list.
2. I hadn't played with this feature yet, but I will note this on the wish list.
3. Will also put this on the wish list.
4. It does seem a bit redundant. Another suggestion I will make, remove or re-purpose.

Despite my previous report on your webpage not displaying properly dated May 12, the problem still remain till now.
Kindly note the top of the page right below the black menu bar of your webpage. It is covering part of whatever is on the top of the white portion.
I hope the relevant people will look into this rather glaring problem.

@artemeis I see what you mean. I have seen at least one other person with a similar issue, they were on a netbook and it seems to be a screen resolution issue. What device are you currently using?

@artemeis @GoAskAlice Unfortunately, this has not been a bug that we've been able to reproduce yet. It appears so far to be an isolated issue.

Correctly said Mr.Lamb. We cannot even access our own started discussions unless i think we get a notification from someone who responded to our discussion..that is if they return back to mylot.
Mylot changed for bad...they say, everything happens for a reason then why did mylot change? You stop the payments, that's still fine with us..but why the appearance?
The other forum sites are so simple, and mylot exceeded them when it came to payments, but mylot could have exceeded them, even if they kept their appearance original and not copied ideas from social networking sites.
WHY DOES MYLOT WANT TO INTEGRATE LIKES AND TWEETS? STAY ORIGINAL PLEASE.
This was the biggest low down i ever expected :( i am sorry to say but i am a lot disappointed like others..
PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD MYLOT. I hope this is just a dream..
ADMIN, please respond here if you can get to your started discussions..

I am able to access my old discussions. I think it may have to do with whether or not your ISP has resolved the new DNS or if you are still having to access through the temporary mirror site. Last night, when I was still using the Elastic Beanstalk link, I was encountering a lot of bugs. This morning, now that I no longer have to do that, many of the bugs I was experiencing are now gone.

@GoAskAlice I am using the new link and not the Elastic Beanstalk. It would have been better the other way with OLD mylot..seriously..
Please tell me what was the need for this drastic change in mylot?

@nitinnair89 Ok, I'lll add it to the list.
Those decisions were beyond my area of work here and I am not in a position to address them.

I'm occasionally receiving new notification alerts when there are none and there is an error message when trying to save setting changes. Tried refreshing the page. Doesn't work.

Is there no way to find the discussions started by friends in an easier way?I mean, I have to search through all the discussions which also get repeated so many times on the page.
Also, how do you decide which discussions are interesting to me? As I dont find any place to make the settings or preferences.
There was also a mention of being allowed to use the Block feature, but I could not get to that.
Maybe I still need to do some more of scanning of the links and other areas.

@changjiangzhibin89 same here my dear friend... glad that some of us have still managed to stay over and I hope that things start getting clearer for all of us who are at the moment in a complete mess of understanding what and how here.

I'm on Internet Explorer ... 8, I think.
It's buggy, but that's just today. Tell me if you've run it on Internet Explorer (8, 9, whatev), so I can find out whether it's the program or just me.

@GoAskAlice I don't know about anyone else, but that creeps me out. Its like having a you from another dimension responding to your post. I fell off my chair when I read "cupkitties commented on your response..."
@GoAskAlice (5827)

@PointlessQuestions Yes, your own posts will mention you when you respond or comment to a post or response you have created.

I'd just like to comment on what Lamb said earlier about inactive accounts' posts not showing up here... I actually like it that way.
If you really feel it's necessary to bring all of that content over to the new site, I would like to have all of my old accounts reactivated. How would I go about doing that?
@GoAskAlice (5827)
•
2 May 13
All of the old content was "snapshotted" and should have been brought over. I'm not sure why it isn't showing, but it has been added to the list.
@GoAskAlice (5827)

@renkinjutsushi At the moment, I do not have access to accounts in the new system. I also do not have an answer on whether or not discussions from old, canceled accounts will be available. I suspect that, due to how the move was made, they may not ever be available.
@renkinjutsushi (716)

2 May 13
@GoAskAlice Will the old accounts be reactivated when the content is brought onto the new site, or would it be necessary to contact someone to ask for it to be done manually?

Something's up with the messaging system. I received an email notification telling me that @Unforgettable_Raja sent me a message this morning, but the message is not there on my messaging page.
That makes me wonder if @pergammano actually received the message I sent on behalf of @LilyLoretta before she rejoined...

@GoAskAlice And here's another one for the list: The notification for this comment took me to the comment in the thread above where you said "All of the old content was "snapshotted" and should have been brought over. I'm not sure why it isn't showing, but it has been added to the list."
That comment was also highlighted instead of the new one.

Go to the "Me" section, on the side bar, where it says "posts", there you will find discussions you have created. Text formatting is a noted issue and is on the fix list.

I've found an issue with the way URLs are converted to hyperlinks in discussions.
If the full URL starting with http is posted in the discussion, Mylot converts it to a working hyperlink with no problems.
However, if the URL starts with www, Mylot treats the domain name as part of the post's URL. An example of this can be seen at You can see that the link in that discussion points to http://www.mylot.com/post/2770087/www.rmfashions.net instead of the intended domain name.

And how can we tell the difference between discussions our friends STARTED and the ones they just RESPONDED-TO (on the 'people'-page)?
