The value of pain

"Only by fully experiencing the depth of our pain we can be healed from it and be done with it". I couldn't agree more about it, and love this sentence so much, because it tells the truth of life. Life is full of ups and downs, and without the downs, the ups would mean nothing. As to me, I think the valuables we get most come from the downs. Just as Romance Rolland said, Adversity is the road leading to truth. Let's face the pains, the downs, and adversity, and learn from it, which will make us reborn.

I totally agree with you... I believe that we have to appreciate the valleys we go into to appreciate the good times.. the same goes with pain... we have to appreciate the pain to appreciate the good times.

Your comment sounds philosophic to me. Only with our deep suffering and struggle, we can finally understand what a success requires. Every bad time means a chance to accelerate your growth. Therefore, I think the God is fair to everyone. You can get more from what you lose. The point is how you treat it, and I see bad times as treasure.

Somebody once said to me that if you suppress your bad emotions, you will automatically suppress the good ones as well.

No matter how bad it is, I think the circumstances offer a unique opportunity for growth. If we yield to the suffering, we are the true loser. I do believe a man is the only one who can save himself and change his fate by defeating his fear and forcing himself to become stronger. Fortune favors the brave.
