Does anyone suggest, which packaging to be followed?

Which packaging material should be used to make product safe from damage? But I need Eco friendly which can be reused.

I use things I might have to through out anyway. I find washing out and reusing plastic works on some items, wax paper on others or I just use containers that seal. It really depends a lot on the product though and if it is kept chilled? Interesting question.
