Favorite Singer and/or Band...

Let's say you won a contest and you could pick any singer or group/band to come to your house and play for you, who would you pick? It could be someone who is presently performing, someone from years ago that has retired or no longer here with us, basically it would be your all time favorite performer.

I don't have an all time favorite... I'm more into what's playing now... And it's Ed Sheeran at the moment. His Wembley Stadium concert was a sold out last month. And I can sure listen to his Photograph all day long...

If only .... but then there are a few I'd pick, they were really great and I don't even know in which order to put them but suffice it to say it'd be a toss up tween CCR, Pink Floyd, Beatles and Iron Butterfly ..... wonder how they'd sound if they all played together?

@howard96h Have you ever listened to any of those groups? I got this feeling their styles wouldn't go together too well, especially Iron Butterfly.

My all-time singer is Jim Reeves, so if there were way-back machines and whatnot I'd love to see him live. He was killed in a plane crash when I was 4. Among the living, I'd probably take Boz Scaggs, because I think his voice is incredible...second best voice in rock and roll, to me (behind Don Henley, but Henley's such a jerk that I wouldn't want to be around him ).

@howard96h absolutely! "Blue Side of Lonesome" (the original, not the orchestrated, edited version that came out in the late 60's). Written by the great Leon Payne, it's such a great story of heartbreak delivered with that masterful voice that was Gentleman Jim.
Jim Reeves - Blue Side Of Lonesome James Travis "Jim" Reeves (August 20, 1923 -- July 31, 1964) was an American country and popular music singer-songwriter, ...

This is a real tough one to answer. I think since so many great performers are no longer with us, especially many who have passed on lately, it would be some performer no longer with us anymore, someone like David Bowie. I can't help thinking with all the performers that recently passed on, there must be one heck of a concert going on in heaven

If I had to pick one, the answer would be a unanimous vote for KISS. They are my all time favorite rock band and I have seen them practically every year since 1977. To me, they are the best live band around.

@howard96h I think the rating is cascading fast . . that is why the producers decided to end the show after one more season.
