would you spend a large amount of money on smartphones?

my boyfriend is crazy about smartphones. now he's planning to invest in samsung galaxy s6 edge. I call it an investment because I consider the price is too big and I don't see the point in spending such a large amount of money on it.

I am a gadget person and I am willing to spend a generous amount of money on smartphones which deserves to be bought in the present time. Consider its specifications in living after years to come.

@swissheart I had a Samsung Galaxy S2 before and it was bought to me as early as it came out. It has a vey little difference when Samsung Galaxy S4 mini came out and that is years after. For now, Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is the most efficient to be bought in the present and it will last years till it will be out of the line. Samsung and Iphone might release the same specs a year from now or worst, 2 years from now.

I never buy smarphones ourtright, as they are way to expensive, and there is no way that I can afford that. I just put so much down, and finance it, which means that x amount of dollars is added to my bill each month for the phone. I can do that just fine, as it isn't all the much. I am getting the new iPhone that is being relleased tomorrow, but there agfain, I am not paying for it ourtirght, as I can't afford it. I will agree they are expensive, but they are also very well made.

@swissheart The IPhone 6s and 6s plust are being released. I preodreed mine, and it is in transit, and I will get it tomorrow. I will certaainly let you all know about it. I am very anxious to get it, but I will have to wait until the weekend to get it set up, as I can't go to the store on release day, as it is way to busy.

I personally wouldn't. I like my phone and I use it a lot, but I wouldn't spend a huge amount of money on it. It just isn't worth it to me.
