the bar shampoo I bought

I use this black shampoo bar to keep my hair black and reduce hair fall. This is the third bar shampoo I bought, and I alternate this with another brand of shampoo that helps prevent hair fall (Palmolive gold with Liza Soberano modeling the brand). I am using 2 dozens of Palmolive, and when consumed, I will use the bar shampoo. I also use Cream Silk green, for hair fall defense. I shampoo every other day and alternately condition it every other day too. This Patchouli bar shampoo is exclusively distributed in Mercury drugstores here in our place. It costs PhP75.00 but it takes me 2 months to use it. The only untoward effect for this bar shampoo is , once I finish shampooing my hair, it gets ‘heavy’ and is difficult to comb, but my hair gets so pitch black and it re-grows baby hair. It is actually an herbal bar shampoo. In a week’s time, the stocks of this shampoo at Mercury drug was already out and consumed. From the Encarta dictionary, patchouli means a tropical Asian bush of the mint family and it is aromatic oil too. Do you use shampoos to re-grow your hair? Do you have receding hairlines?

of course, my friend, I think you should not use blackening shampoo if your hair is dark blonde.

I actually have a trepidation of using this, because I know it can make the hair stiff. Besides, I massage onion juice 30 minutes before shampooing. After two weeks, the baby hair can be felt by the hands. However, because of stress my alopecia areata recurred.

@ridingbet The coconut oil? The hair conditioner I am using which is by PC has Aloe Vera and Italian Oil. My hair is so soft after conditioning it with that.

Sounds like you need some No More Tears like we use on the kids here in the states. Patchouli is great smelling stuff. I have very long hair and use tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner on it. Did you know that people normally lose 100 or more strands of hair daily?

@ridingbet ...It certainly can, yes. This bar soap sounds good. My mom used to make her own soap that did the same thing and then she rinsed in rain water. Before acid rain.

@celticeagle rain water is slimy, am I right? when we collect the first rain water of May here, we mix it with the water to rinse our bodies after bath. there is a belief that the first rains of May are medicinal.

yes, I know that. I lost about 20-30 hair strands a day, but depending on the stress too. I believe stress adds more to hair loss, than when relaxed. the bar shampoo smells good too. my hair gets 'heavy' because of its oils coming in contact to my hair.

I have never tried this! I wonder if Vietnam sells this (I have family there). Thank you ~ I will do some research on this product online.

maybe the bar shampoo is also found in Vietnam, especially if the Patchouli tree is found there

I don't pay much attention to the different shampoos. I am going grey but I'm not going to try to slow down the greying. I've heard of patchouli but didn't know anything about it.

Hmmm I think I need that kind of shampoo. Is it really effective? I tried Palmolive too after consuming those Pantene sachets. Sometimes I also use Black Beauty.

@ridingbet it's not that expensive unlike it's counterpart which is imported, Mane n Tail. But I don't use it as often as before. I will try to look for that shampoo bar when I go to Manila.

i guess this patchouli bar shampoo would help those with fine limp hair. does it stain your hands or clothes?

no, it does not stain my clothes, the collar, but the wide-toothed brush gets colored black because of the henna?. I don't know if the shampoo has henna. my hair gets full too, and it does not get limpy.
