What did you do with the Bloody Mary mix you had left over after your last holiday party? Or that bottle you got at the office or neighborhood Pollyanna party when you don’t even drink? I think you’ll feel better after reading this that it doesn’t have to go to waste. My mother liked Bloody Mary's - I bought her some Spicy Tabasco mix a while back. But it had never been opened, so I didn’t want lose it. I went online and searched for non-alcoholic ways to use it. This is but one of several I found and the only one I’ve made so far. I used bone-in chicken breasts I bought. I thought the mild spiciness of the mix we have would give it just the right kick. I ended up adding a chopped onion and green pepper to the crockpot and we ate it over rice that I had cooked in chicken broth. Bloody Mary Chicken Breast Four boneless, skinless chicken breasts (mine were bone-in) One 750ml bottle Ben Jack Larado’s Bloody Mary Drink Mix (I used Tabasco Mildly Spicy mix) Place chicken in crock pot. Pour Bloody Mary mix over chicken. Cover; cook on low for 8 hours. Note: Thicken sauce by adding 2 Tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup water to crock pot 20 minutes before serving. This turned out to be excellent! The peppers and onions were just the right addition to the original recipe, but you can do without or be additionally creative with no problem. In my meal, the chicken fell off the bones and was easily shredded. I’m sure it would be more so with boneless chicken. This is an excellent way to use a product like this! Especially if someone gives it to you for Christmas and you don't even drink Bloody Mary's. In fact, I'm betting a spicy tomato juice blend would work just as well if you had it.

What a great idea! I have yet to find a really good bloody, but incorporating it to chicken sounds so good. was the chicken really tender when you pulled it out of the crock pot, like pulled pork falls off the bone type tender? By the way thank you for sharing

Yes, it was so tender it fell apart, so I shredded it instead of trying to pull it out whole. The bones were easy to remove. Thank you!

I am not sure my husband would be able to eat it if I fixed it with Bloody Mary. He like to drink rum and Vodka, but no Bloody Marys. When he was in college he drink Bloody Marys until he became sick. He said he is hard to throw up, but could not stop throwing up Bloody Marys. He has not had a Bloody Mary since. I have never had Bloody Mary. Did the chicken have a Blood Mary taste, or do you think it is something I might be able to slip over on my husband? LOL
