While I was out of the house yesterday doing errands (we have no duty for 2 days, Thursday and today), I received a text message from a colleague GJ. She asked me, “What is your size?” It came at 1:15PM. While I was typing my response, my mobile phone rang, and it was GJ. She asked me what my tee shirt size is. I kidded, “Extra large” but she said, “you are not stout, why XL?” I responded, “You know my size, why do you still ask?” and we both laughed out loud. She reiterated that I must join the reunion. I told her, “Can you hear my voice? How do I sound?” She said, “Like having stuffy nose and productive cough”. “Precisely”, I said, “I am sick, so don’t force me to come. My immune system is so low”. She agreed, “Yes, you should not be in a crowd”. GJ understood me; I know my colleagues and classmates (of 3) will understand me as well. GJ then told me that we can have our own class reunion (of 4) after the grand reunion. I said yes, as long as I am well. How about you, what is your size? I am small, but I would like a medium size.

@nottoooldtowrite you have a beautiful face my dear friend. U may look chubby but it does not matter because you are beautiful. Karla Estrada is big but she hasa beautiful face and she carries her weight well and with grace.

@ridingbet I agree, I also like small T-shirts, but not too thigh and too short. I do not want to look ridiculous.

I like medium when I use sweaters, but small t shirts. I do not like the extra small t shirts, the ones that show one's belly. I look sarcastically at some women who wear very tight and small blouses/t shirts that "flaunt" their body figure. They look funny.

that is okay, but when you wear big t shirts, I think you should not use those tight-fitting tee's because you will look like a spring roll about to burst.

I think I am average size. I'm okay with that. I used to perceive myself as being larger than I actually am. I think that most women struggle a lot with body image. But as I age, I'm just trying to be healthy physically and more accepting of mu body type and size,

welcome to mylot. i have gained weight, but i am still of the small or average size when it comes to tee shirts. i think we look bigger when photographed; it conceals our real body structure.

@ridingbet Thank you! I agree about photos, they are not always a very accurate representation of how a person looks face-to-face.

LOL . . I guess you have some parts (since you are not fat) that are really huge - that is why you want XL t-shirt, kabsat! Now your post reminds me of my article about small, medium, and large bananas! Mine is medium . . . I mean the size of my t-shirts!

hahah! Bad, kabsat! I have a big heart and it does not need an extra large size. hehehe! I am medium, really. and yes, I recall your medium size... bananas! and if I wear XL t shirts, I will look like a "tikling" ( the flightless bird where our national dance 'tinikling' originated from).

I am a short, nana.... was very little all my life, up until the last few years I have started putting on weight. I have had to work to keep it off now. I used to smoke years ago, and I don'tknow if that has anything to do with the weight gain or not. But I try to stay ahead of it. I used to not even have to worry about what I ate.. but now I can look at a candy bar and gain ten pounds : smiles ::

I am small. In fact, I wear a size 28 in pants and this isn't made around here in men's. The closest they get here is 30.

I'm really only a medium (though a little larger round the waist than I used to be) but I like to wear XL in tee-shirts because I prefer them to be loose and airy.

when I wear t shirts bigger than my size, I roll the sleeves at 2 inches up. That makes me boyish too, which I like.

Even though I know my sisters size, I always call her and ask her too. It depends on the clothing but I prefer Large for my top and Medium for my bottoms. But then it varies between brands also so it's hard to say.

I remember the year we discovered that XL anywhere else in the world won't fit Americans. We bought dozens of T-shirts for a trade show but none of our Americans would (or could) wear them.

I think the XXL is for those who are so big, with big bellies, who are so tall, or the extremely obese. The XL I think is right for the regular-sized Americans?
