Not all who follow you follow you.

While I was taking my bath, I saw some black ants moving a trail down from the shower curtain. They were just about 10 black ants and they seem to be following one except some of them moved away from the leader of the trail.
Like in this site, not all who follow us follow us. Have you noticed that there are some who comment on our discussions but are not our followers or who we don’t follow? I have some who I don’t follow but are active in checking my posts. I also check on other members of this site who are not following me, and the interaction is good as well.
So, I think it does not matter if there are just a few or several followers as long as there is active interaction among us.
Any thoughts?

I was never concerned of who's following me. I always open the most recent discussions so I don't actually go through each of the people I follow.
What's important for me is having a good relationship with the people I interact with whether they follow me or not.

i believe they just need big numbers in their profile. they think that the more follower and following, the better their discussions will be read and interacted upon

indeed, it is the topic of the discussion that we are always after and not because it is the post that a follower does.

right, it is our freedom anyway to check on pertinent discussions, not because we say thanks to those who comment and interact on our posts

yes and i too do that, and isn't it nice to be the first one to put your comment into a discussion when the post is worthy to be commented on too?

@Marcyaz true, that is why we must read the discussions posted because although we help each other here, it is also in the topics posted that we must interact with.

I think those who we follow but don't follow us back are good to know that they have us as their followers, and then expect that we should read thrie posts as well. but for me, i read discussions that have some moral lessons or somethings i can get something from.

@SIMPLYD it is useless to interact with a topic that we have no knowledge about it, but when i comment on such discussions, i hope the member who wrote that post will be kind-hearted to explain what he means.

@skysnap hahaha! really? but i think she is a lovable person. seriously, if he is running for president , and if I am a citizen of USA, i will vote for her. in my opinion, Mr. Trump does not have the personality to be the next president of USA

yes, but isn't it also nice to see in our profile page a big number of followers and who we follow? it may show that "we are a lovable person" that is why many follow us?!

I don't know but what came to my mind while reading the first paragraph, I was reminded of the famous song now, "Tatlong Bibe" (Three Ducks)
Yup, it doesn't matter if we have a few or many followers on the list. What matters is our readers and those who interact with us, following or not.

@trivia79 well, i still have to be connected and followed by 'normal' and credible member so my viewing their discussions is worth reading as well. i am not for numbers, i want to follow those who are true and clean members.

You're right, we should not dependon followers or those we are following, let's just interact with anyone in the family to progress

i agree a hundred percent. some of the newbies always try to get as many followings but ignore the idea of interacting.
This is my second shortest discussion. An ex-bubbler's name is missing inthe recent discussions. She followed me on the same day that she followed hundreds too....

Nice title and comparison. As you said it is not necessarily our followers who comment on our discussions. But so long as we comment back to all those who respond,it is okay.Yes,and we should reciprocate by responding to their discussions.

You are right. What's important is when you write a Discussion, it must draw some interest for others to comment and begin the inter-action. You're also attracted to comment on the Discussion of others when you find them interesting.
