One of the latest interests we have nowadays is to do wrong to our body and then try to put everything in order with horrible diets. Diabetes is a modern ailment due to eating lots of refined sugars. Obesity, specially in children, is also due to too many refined sweets and lack of exercise. Doctors, on the other hand, get rich writing different diet books, some with only proteins, some with only veggies. Today all I can think about are diets. I have to eat cooked chicken and the like with small amounts of other ingredients. All that, in order to have a horrible colonoscopy that is worse than surgery for me. In this moment, besides mylotting, I am spending my time eating the pages with the diet. I did not find tea or coffee so I´m drinking herbs. I cannot see anywhere a sentence that says whether I can eat tomorrow, the day before the event

I have to take 3 laxatives. One tomorrow morning, another at night and the last one on Friday, at dawn.

I never followed any diet so much, I try to eat food with more proteins, I eat a lot of chicken, tuna, eggs, drink a lot of milk and I eat some fruits and veggies. That is all. I eat sweets too, but never too much..

I'm fortunate not to gain too much weight easily. Generally my diet is good. I've been lucky not to have to worry about it too much though.

Don't you get put "to sleep" before the colonoscopy? I always do. I would never do it without it.

Yes they do. What is awful is the laxative you have to take. And the diet during 3 days.

I prefer to just eat everything in moderation. I think all the craze for dieting is crazy. Life is meant for enjoyment, and eating is very enjoyable. We should not allow them to take away the enjoyment.
