I am a person who cannot leave the house without a handkerchief that is safely tucked in my pocket. I use it of course to wipe my sweat and my hands after washing.
Last Thursday, it was so hot that I brought out the towelette given to me by my sister, and put this over my head. When I went inside the car, I removed my eyeglasses and placed it on the neck hole of my uniform and wore my shades. I immediately drove out of the hospital parking space; I was already a kilometer away when I searched for my towelette, but I could not find it. I thought I might have dropped it in the parking area. I immediately went back, and there, I found my towelette on the ground. I picked it up and drove away again.
When I reached home, I held the towelette with my right hand, entered the house, and touched the neck hole of my uniform so I can wear my eyeglasses. My God, my glasses fell when I picked up the towelette. I immediately changed my clothes, asked my son to accompany me to the hospital, and searched for my pair of eyeglasses, but... in vain. I asked the roving guard on duty, and the OPD department nurse if a pair of eyeglasses was given to them; they did not have it.
Right now, I am wearing an old pair of eyeglasses and I plan to have my visual acuity checked again at the end of the month.
Have you searched for one item, found it, then lost another? I had.

@skysnap really? but the desk keys can be kept in a key chain with that alarm, right?

yes, but the towelette was given to me by my sister, and i am really planning on having my eyes checked again.

I can't remember if I lost SOMETHING when I found another. Maybe, SOMEONE. Ahahaha Just kidding!
I usually don't bring a handkerchief because I always lose it and I forget where I lost it.

@ridingbet My left pocket is for my wallet and coins while my right pocket is for my phone. They get so bulky when I put my hanky there, especially at the back pockets. I don't feel comfortable when I sit. Hihihi

oh that is really not good experience. What I experienced is looking for my shades inside the house only to found out it was in my head.

So sorry that you lost your eye glasses. Good thing you have an extra pair on hand.
No this hasn't happened to me and hopefully it doesn't. I hate to lose one thing and be able to find out only to find out I lost another item as well.

i had a case for my eyeglasses but it was in my bag. my shades too. well, i hope the one who got it will have the same lens as mine

@ridingbet What about buying a clic glass? It hangs on your neck when not in use and is joined by a magnet between the eyes.

I am sorry you lost your glasses. I one time had my sunglasses in my pouch that was open and wanted to take a picture so moved and lost my sunglasses. i looked around and think saw a boy that picked them up. I did not say anything because he was with his mother and maybe another family member and they would lie and say they are theirs. So, I had to get new ones. I like my new ones so have not thought of those till now.

yes i agree. the glasses however fell when i picked up the towelette so i was not really aware of that.
