If your daughter would tell you she has a boyfriend

Well, every daughter has to have a boyfriend at some point. All you can do is trust they listened to your conversations about relationships. I noticed when my daughter started having boyfriends, she ended up not liking the same ones I didn't like, lol. You can't tell them outright someone is bad news, sadly they have to see it themselves.

Our daughter has her Christmas vacation at home and went back to Manila for her college studies. Then, that morning she called that she already arrived there and told me , she already had a boyfriend. I was speechless and told her why didn't she tell us while she was at home . She said we might get angry because she promised us that she will do that when she graduates from College and she's just in 3rd year college. After that conversation , i cried , much to the surprise of my officemates.

I don't have any kids. I told my parents when I was in high school, they didn't say much and how I'm with him 9 years later :) How about now does your daughter have a boyfriend?

t depends how old they are. When an eleven-year-old boy tells me he has a girlfriend, I ask him how he know she's his girlfriend. He says, because she writes back when I text her. I smile and say, that sounds like a good relationship.

You made the right reaction, be what a mother should be, to remind her to be careful about it. Children tend to listen to what parents are telling them.
