I am working 2000 km away from my home town in different society. Society which have different culture, language and religon. I am living in a room of a old couple on monthly rent. The owner of room a old lady or I called her aaji is very simple and loving lady. She wants to talk with me nut account of different knowledge we don't understand language of each other. But When she say me something with signs I understand what she is telling. One day I found her sad in evening. I want to ask with her but she doesn't know my language. When she saw me, she starts a long argument with me about her problem. I don't know her language but her signs and her feeling shows every thing. I gave her some money for her check up.

Sometimes words are not needed to get across what the other person is trying to say. And very good of you to give her some money too.

What a nice story. It's great to see two people who can't speak to each other but they still do the effort to communicate with each other. We Italians are good at gesturing as well. Did you learn any words since you work there? From what I understood by googling, you probably speak Hindi and she speaks Kannada, right?
