We Already "Hired" Him!!

If you've read any of my posts, I've mentioned that we (my husband and I and my MIL) have 3 acres of land. I mow, our front half acre and our yard, the MIL mows in front of her house. The hubby when he has time uses our tractor and disk to knock down the weeds. The disk isn't like a mower, but it does knock down the weeds, but can only be used when the ground is dry. The MIL hired the "village" man to mow. He doesn't do that great, but he gets it mowed. But when the MIL "hired" him to mow her area, he had to quit because he's allergic to one of the weeds!! My husband, did get the other half (other half of what I mow with the push mower) disked, but lately it has been rainy and he can't get the rest. Yesterday, the MIL got a notice from the village that if we don't get the weeds knocked down, they were going to fine us $1,000 and then they would "hire" some one to mow it!! Well, the MIL hired the man that is the "head" of the village and he couldn't do his job!! It's NOT "our" fault. The person they plan on hiring to mow, should mow ours for free, since the head of the village man can't/won't do it!!! What do you think? ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

Yeah, but the man that the MIL hired to mow the lawn, didn't finish mowing, he made a couple of rounds then quit because of a certain weed that he's allergic to. Now "he's" the one who wants to sue us!!

@marguicha , yes!! He's the "village" superintendent. We hired him to mow (and he has in the past) but this time he was unable to finish mowing. Now, he sent us a letter saying that since we've got weeds (which we hired him too do) he's going to fine us and then hire some one else (which we'll have to pay, besides the fine) to mow, what he should have mowed!!

How about hiring a local teen to do it? They usually charge less than a service would.

The "village" that we live in is mainly an elderly community! We've even had people come to us asking to use our "push" mower and riding lawn mower that does NOT work!!
