Severe Storms Make Me Uneasy ...

We are expecting high wind, storms coming into our area throughout the evening, night. Do you ever get uneasy when storms are expected? I do. I worry about trees falling ... I really am afraid of lightening. This is the first time I have a dog I have to keep outside ... when I like to have my Pups close to me. I have Duke (the dog I rescued) in the safest place here. Duke's kennel has a building on one side ... a building in the rear ... my truck parked on the other side. Also, his kennel is covered on top, and around ... and is under the shed where I used to park my truck. I will close his curtains soon leaving him an opening to look out from. I will worry all through the night and keep looking outside to make sure Duke is okay. If need be I will go to him. Do storms ever make you uneasy? The storms coming our way have already caused several deaths. That's scary. Severe storms make me uneasy. Note by Author: Photo/story owned, written by Gloria Faye Brown Bates/aka Granny Gee.

Couldn't you bring Duke inside just for this one night? Otherwise you will be up and down all night worrying about him.

@jaboUK Thank you, Jabo. We watched all through the night. Thankfully his kennel is just right here across the driveway. Thankfully, a light stayed on where we could watch him all night ... because our neighbor has a generator that comes on when the electric goes out :) I like that.

If I could bring Duke in for one night I would keep him inside all the time. I'm afraid of the aggression between Duke and Kissy. They are both powerful dogs. I can't let them get together ... when we moved here we down-sized to a small house ... there's no room for him to stay in. I will be worrying all night for sure and will go out to him ... storm or no storm.

I am not too anxious about them but big winter storms can be scary and dangerous.

Storms that occur after it's been so hot then getting ready to get cold are very scary. The storms moving in tonight have already caused several deaths.

I understand how you feel. Our hurricane season begins on June 1 - then it is worrying time.

Skip loves storms like you do. I am afraid of the lightening and loud thunder. I don't act silly or anything ... I just tense up

Sometimes they do. I'm afraid of a power outage or something worse. Glad you're safe with Duke and out of the storm area.

Yes, that's when tornadoes occur and one can't see them at night.
