When we move out from out home for going to our work place, to visit someone or for going to a public place, we try to dress immaculately. When I go to my work place I ensure that my clothes are neatly ironed and their are no wrinkles visible on it.
When you go out of your home, do you ensure that your clothes are ironed and they are not looking shabby, as unironed clothes could leave a bad impression about us. Or do you prefer to wear such clothes which are not required to be ironed out?
If required, do you iron your clothes yourself or get it done from outside vendor or dry cleaning outlets?

When going to work, i ensure i wear nicely ironed ones. Though at times, when i am visiting some casual place,i am too lazy to do that and wear what i grab first.
I have my clothes ironed by a vendor once a week. And i do it when i want to wear something particular and it's not ironed. Even the well ironed clothes has marks when kept for long, so have to iron that too before wearing for work.
I mostly wear cotton, so can't really go without ironing them.

Exactly same goes with me. I also prefer to wear cotton clothes and they get wrinkles very easily. I usually re-iron out my clothes before wearing it because wrinkles appear even on neatly kept clothes, ironed out by the street vendor. Wrinkles make me feel uneasy. However, it is also true that no one in office cares if we have not ironed out our clothes, until and unless clothes are looking very shabby.

@shaynas - No one notices in the offices, what we are wearing on a particular day, until and unless we are wearing some new or unusual clothes/shades. It is for our own satisfaction that we should wear ironed out clothes. Neat and tidy clothes always add to your personality in office.

@dpk262006 That's true. No one actually notices until they are really bad. But i feel confident while wearing the proper clothes and i think we should maintain this at work place at least.

I like to wear neatly ironed clothes and in our society we have help for it, they pic clothes and deliver after ironing them. On daily life I wear mostly trousers and tea shirt so no need to iron that.

Most of us who wear cotton or cotton mix clothes try to wear ironed clothes so as to look good. Wrinkled cloth gives a kind of lousy impression. It is good to hear that you have facility of getting the clothes ironed in your society and you get it ironed from there. I agree with you that if you are at home and wear trousers and T shirt, then need of ironing it out could be ignored.

@Bodyandbrain Weather here is such that one feels like wearing cotton clothes only, clothes made of other than cotton make us feel uncomfortable in hot and humid weather and cotton clothes cannot be put on without ironing.
It is great on your part that you take care of your husband and son's clothes and get those clothes ironed so that they do not face any problem.

To be very honest I am a lazy person in case of ironing cloths. But it does not mean that I may go with wrinkled dress. Surely not, I prefer to wear the dress which does not require ironing. Ladies have this preference but I know for gents there is no way but to iron the dress.

I can understand your position that as you are a working woman, time is always at premium for you. Also, if outside help/vendor is not available or you do not want to utilize his/her services, then there may be some clothes, which you will have to wear without ironing out.
Moreover, it is for our own satisfaction that we wear ironed cloth, otherwise, people around us are too busy to notice our clothes.
You are more or less right that women have more option than men to not to wear ironed clothes.

@Sreekala Yes, there are some fabrics which do not require ironing. In that case you could just wash them and wear them.

@dpk262006 I am happy with the dresses which does not require ironing. They are easy to wash too, in case we depend on hand washing cloths.

I prefer to wear the clothes that don't need ironing; but on lesser occasions I just send my other clothes (which need to be ironed) to the outlets. I guess I'm too lazy to do it myself

You like to wear those clothes, which are not required to be ironed. However, if at all some clothes are needed to be ironed you get it done from outside, as you do not feel like ironing yourself.

It is good to hear that you like to wear ironed clothes and sometimes you do it yourself or your mother is there to help you.
If any day you are in a hurry to go to office and you need to wear a dress which has not been ironed, would you not drop going to office?

What is an iron ?
Oh I am so lazy to iron . Honestly, we buy clothes that do not require ironing. But here is a trick that works well for us. After washing, the clothes are put in the dryer like normal. About 15 minutes in the drying cycle, we take out what would need to be ironed - give it a shake - and hang them on a hanger to continue to dry. The trick is making sure the clothing piece is not completely dry from the dryer . . . and taking it all out before it stops and stacks up wrinkled.

It is good that you have found out a method to avoid ironing the clothes but hanging them after pulling out those clothes from the washing machine. I hope it help maintain the crease of the cloth and you could wear it without ironing.

@much2say Yeah, where there are no compulsory dress codes, it is better to work at that place. I thin Hawaiian type shirts do not require ironing and could be worn without ironing.

@dpk262006 Another trick for Hubby is to not work for a place that is too strict on their dress code . His work is fairly casual . . . but Hubby at least likes to wear nice dress pants - with Hawaiian type shirts!

It means that you least care if a cloth is ironed or not. If a cloth is naturally wrinkled, then it is understandable that it is not required to be ironed out.
