Sherlock on the BBC

In January of this year, an online friend of mine suggested I watch Sherlock, a programme shown on BBC One. I was sceptical at first and didn’t really think it would be my cup of tea. But boy, was I wrong. After 2 episodes, it had made its way near the top of my list of favourite TV shows. I adore the show and think that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are exquisite as Holmes and Watson. The writing from Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss (who also features in the show as Mycroft, Sherlock’s older and supposedly intellectually superior brother) is brilliant and I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud to have his work interpreted in this way. The downside is, they have only made 4 series since 2010, each consisting of 3 episodes which is nowhere near enough for an addict such as myself. Do you have a favourite TV show? Have you seen Sherlock?

Have not seen Sherlock. Would recommend "The Crown" which I think is now playing on Netflix. It's about young Queen Elizabeth when she succeeded King George (her father) to become queen of England. Very good.

I've watched one episode. I love a lot of BBC stuff. Have you watched Doctor Who?

I have seen Sherlock. I don't know why they only make a few episodes. The last one I saw was when Sherlock was in the hospital and that crazy guy tried to kill him. That episode was crazy. I haven't seen it since.
