Hot, Humid, Icky, Sticky Friday

I don't know how many adjectives I could come up with to describe this awfully hot Friday. UGH pretty much sums it up. Summer isn't my favorite season but it ranks higher than snowy cold winters.
I've been enjoying seeing pictures of beaches and pools which mentally cool me off. I can envision myself diving into those pools and/or enjoying ocean waves. I love to swim but haven't been for the past few years. I'm thinking that it's time for me to plan a "real" vacation for next year.
Today is a quiet day for me. My daughter went to work so I have the day to myself and other than the regular household chores that need doing I can pretty much relax.
The dogs are sacked out on the floor near the fan and sleeping peacefully.
Last evening we had storms pass through and the power kept flicking on and off. Every time it went off I held my breath and then it would come on. Thankfully it came back on and stayed on so we were able to watch last nights episode of Big Brother which I wouldn't have wanted to miss. It was eviction night and I had to see who was kicked out.
Not much else happening on this Friday in my little corner of the myLot world.

@Marilynda1225 I have seen that many places are affected by a heat wave. This morning is nice here, not very hot and dry.

I haven't been out side as of yet... but it does look kind of sticky out there... the sky is kind of whitish... and there is no breeze. It just looks hot lol!

Believe me, I feel your pain! Probably about 5 to 10 degrees hotter here than your area. I am gonna swim when the sun starts to set though.

It's probably even hotter in Florida than it is here in Pennsylvania. Try to keep cool and good luck with the house

I can relate to the power issues, so I am happy your power decided to stay on and you got to see Big Brother. I was happy to catch Royal Pains. We're having a mild winter through the day, I am not certain what our summer is going to be like. Try to keep cool and enjoy your weekend.

Don't be too jealous of us who live near the beach, or have swimming pools. Yes, it is somewhat refreshing to take a dip in the water, but let's be honest...the water is as warm as bathtub water! haha
My only saving grace this summer has been the air conditioner!

Glad you didn't lose your power! That would have been just awful! I'm with you on loving summer more than winter. To me, August is the worst month of the summer - extra hot and sticky. Yuck!!!
It was perfect for my morning walk, but I'm cooling my heels in our a/c now. Couldn't live without it!!!!! Getting a mani/pedi later and out to dinner for our just the two of us Friday night outing.

I still have my days and nights mixed up, i sleep 4 am till noon and I hate it. Its hot here too but its normal for Alabama, except all the rain.
