myLot: How many followers do you have?

Does the number of followers that you have here... Have any importance to you or are they just numbers?
I think one of the most important factors of having many followers and following many people (as long as the people you follow are active members, obviously), is the fact that it's easier to find some discussions more easily and potentially increase the amount of interactions (it's almost like an exchange).
Other than that, I can't imagine any use.

I have 422 followers and am following 33.
Pretty much followers are just a number...I don't pay attention until a topic like this comes up.
Of more significance to me is who I follow.
Some will see following as an exchange but not me
I don't even respond to all the discussions of the people I follow.
I respond purely to the discussions that I want to participate in no matter who starts them.
If someone responds to one of my, very rare, discussions I don't automatically go to their profile although I do if they make a response that I find interesting.

@sugartoes It's purely because I work from 6.30am until 11pm and don't have the time I used to have.
Now I just look at most recent discussions and that's about it.
It is absolutely nothing personal...it's a time thing.

@sugartoes reaaly, for me there often isn't.
I get up at 05.45 get to work at 06.30.
Come back at 14.00 the go back at 18/19.00 until 22/23/00.
in between I just sleep

I actually have no idea how many followers I have and how many people I follow. I'd reckon I have more followers than people I follow. Now I am curious to check.

I'm flattered when someone does follow me, but I don't really look at the number honestly. I also just follow those whom I find interesting.

I feel that it does not matter how many people follow me. I like the fact that all these people like me or like my discussions or responses I make here. That is what is important.

I have alot of followers but alot of them are not active anymore. I am going to sort thru them and get rid of ones that no longer participate on here.

I checked my profile and I have 1,033 followers and I'm following 1,070. Of course not everyone that follows me or everyone that I follow are active and post here regularly in myLot.

I don't have many but it's my own fault because I don't stay here long enough to build any up. I post for a few weeks and then go AWOL for months. I'm not sure why but I'm like it with lots of sites. No staying power

I think that those following are just a number. I would think that every time I come on here I would be interacting with hundred of people. Instead I always interact with those I already recognize and do as many discussions as I can. Where everyone else is I have not idea but they are on my follower list.
