Do you clean your ear regularly ?

A physician told me that it's not a good idea to do this too often. Especially ear buds should be avoided. Use a piece of cloth, water and some soap. That's enough.

They say you spoil your ear when you put earbuds in them many times.

Earbuds can push the wax inside, that's why it is not recommended. Recently I had my right ear clogged because of earbuds, dipping them into something may not be enough. I should buy hydrogen peroxide or salt water, that's what is usually suggested. I used baby oil to unclog my ear, by the way. The earbuds are still good for cleaning the external part of the ear.

Use of earbuds can also push the ear wax into the membrane which can get damaged.

I dont do it everyday because according to some of the articles that i have read. Our ear need to have some of the was thag it naturally produce for germ and dirt protection. Have you read or heard of it?

Likewise, I clean my ears every after bath or everytime I go to work. I am currently working in a call center company and as an agent, I am required to listen to the members concerns. Sometimes if I do not clean my ears, I tend to increase the phone's volume just so I can hear what they are saying to me. Someone also told me that I should not clean my ears very often but I think it would not really be a problem since our ears produce wax everyday. Wax also helps prevent foreign bodies from entering directly to our ears so it also helps and has some benefits.

You are wrong as doctor won't advise you to do so. My wife also used to do like you and once she had a pain in an ear and was taken to a doctor. He said that this is due to this happy of cleaning eat she was having a pain.

Ear buds pack wax next to the ear drum. I used to use them. Now I just clean with a wash clothes. Wax is important for lubrication.

My ear nose and throat doctor told me not to put anything in my ears so I have to go every so many months for him to clean out my ears for me. I cannot wear the small earphones that go in our ears because they give me trouble so I have the big earphones I love better.

I also clean my ears with cotton buds every time. But its not good to clean the full wax. Even I was not aware of it, but when I went to ENT doctor, after examining he asked me if I had the habit of cleaning wax every time. I told him I have that habit. He told me not to do it anymore ,as we should have little wax in our ear. There is no harm in it. From then on wards I don't clean the full wax...

My ears tell me when they need help. Normally they are self cleaning spit out wax all on their own. In shower I let warm water enter but yes later my ears..
