Aamir Khan is one of my favorite Bollywood actors. It's fair to say that he is one of the first Indian stars I came to know who made me want to watch more Indian cinema, even though they have to be English subtitled. His full name is Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan. He started his career as a child actor.
βIn 2001, he founded Aamir Khan Productions, whose first release, Lagaan, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and earned him a National Film Award for Best Popular Film and two more Filmfare Awards (Best Actor and Best Film).β (Quote Source: Wikipedia)
~ My first favorite film? Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India β Not really familiar with any of his work before this film. I like this movie for its historical value and because it was the film that introduced me to this cultured actor. He really left an impression.
~ My second favorite film? Fanaa β A painfully beautiful love story; emphasis on the pain part. The story was so tragic yet so touching and beautiful.
Are you familiar with this actor and his work?

Truly does open up a whole new world. But if you don't like musicals you might not like them. They sing and dance all the time. They actually borrowed the idea from the Americans. But whereas we choose specific films as musicals, they took it to the next level and practically 99.9% of their films have song and dance routines. Even the gangsters sing and dance.
