Three

the 3 of us

We are 6 siblings in the family. The oldest is my only sister, followed by 3 older brothers, then me, and the 6th is our kid brother. When our parents were still alive, the first three were often mentioned as “the 3 oldest”, while the 4th, 5th, and 6th as the “3 youngest” ( tallu nga inauna ken tallu nga inaudi). Last night when we had our dinner at 8PM in Hap Chan Chinese restaurant, my siblings brought out their phones for “picture-taking”. My oldest brother even joked that these days, very few say the prayer of grace before and after meals; instead of “prayer before meals”, it is “picture before meals”. So, the picture of my sister and my oldest brother were taken, then my oldest brother said, “okay, you 3 youngest, I will take your picture”. I and my son also had our picture together. How many siblings are there in your family?

Do you all live far away from each other? Do you get together much? I have a brother and sister and my father had 5 children.

my 4th brother comes home every year from UK; my kid brother is staying here now because he has a business; my sister is here living with me; my 2nd and 3rd brothers are in the capital city, but my 3rd brother is not here for the reunion because he is on red alert

@ridingbet Is that the one living in the UK? Did something happen that they are on red alert?

@LadyDuck i think being born on normal spontaneous delivery is better than undergoing the C-section.

my sister is 11 years older than me. i am 11 years older than her oldest daughter. my kid brother is 6 years older than my sister's oldest daughter, while i am also 5 years older than my youngest sibling. by 19 months, i think your mother immediately had her ovulation period back. good thing both of you were born under normal spontaneous delivery?

@bluesa Thanks! My sister is younger than me but sometimes people think she's older... Maybe because she's taller than me.

Lovely photo and a nice large family. I have two brothers. My husband had two, also. My brother's wife still says prayers before every meal.

i think saying a prayer before every meal is our way of thanking and acknowledging what Somebody Up There gives us.

Only two of us but after I got married, my brother cut off ties because of money issues

that is disappointing. i guess the inheritance is the main reason for severing the ties?

I have four siblings. 2 sisters and 2 brothers and I'm the youngest. We never forget to say grace before eating. We have to say thanks and we have to bless the food we are about to consume for our health. So we never forget to do that.

we say our prayers before and after meals individually. but when my parents were still alive, we often wait for the rest of the siblings to be seated in the table before the prayers is said.

I envy you because you have brothers. We are all 5 girl siblings. Then, I didn't have a son. So I miss having a brother and a son. That is also the reason why I can get close to a guy more than a girl when I was in high school and growing older.

@ridingbet Yes, father's surname isn't spread indeed because we all assumed the surnames of our huabands.

well, that is why your maiden surname is not getting spread already because upon marriage, you assume the family name of your husband

We are 6. I, the eldest. One girl and 5 boys. I remember the question I ask my team during our eaten. What letter P we do before eating? They answered in chorus, "picture, picture"

The picture is Ingrid, her younger brother, and her older brother... They are the 3 youngest siblings in their family of 6 siblings. So the picture is sibling no 5 (Ingrid), sibling no 6, and sibling no 4.
