Does your cat come when you call them?

I would say my cat comes with called about 95 percent of the time. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for him to get off his royal derriere and look to see what you want. His curiousity will eventually get the better of him..So, when I call him I have to be prepared to wait it out! He is so uppity..I bet sometime he will miss the squirrel flaunting around and taunting him with his tail waving!

My first kitty always came when I'd whistle for her but not the others I've had, they'd simply wait til they were hungry to appear.

I think it really varies with the cat. Some of them came when called and others simply paid no attention.

My cat comes when you call him, most of the time, sometimes he just looks at me like I am crazy and walks the other way.

My cat gets very comfy on the top bunk in one of the bedrooms when he is there sitting in the sunbeam I would say he does not want to be bothered!

I have no cats, I call the cat of my neighbor to give him a little treat. Sometimes I have to wait a couple of minutes, but he always comes.

@snowy22315 Willy (the cat) usually comes every time that I go out in our garden, after a couple of minutes he is there rubbing my legs. I love this little fellow.

Some of mine do and some don't @snowy22315 but you can bet when I rattle the treat bag and say, "Who wants a treat"; they come a running.

If they are outside, yes, but I rarely have to call because they are usually waiting by the door when they see me coming. If they are already inside, they totally ignore me, unless they hear a cheese wrapper or tuna can....

That's sort of a yes and no answer for me. The thing that will get my cat running over to me like crazy is if I ask, "Do you want to eat?" or..."Are you hungry?" He definitely seems to know what the words hungry and eat mean.

My cat comes to a call I make but not her name. When she was small I called “Here ki ki ki” when it was time for her food so that is what she comes to.

@snowy22315 she's really beautiful but the flash makes her close her eyes and the ornery look made me laugh so I used it for my avatar!

Our cats always came when they were called. I guess they associated it with meal-times.
