Bedtime Routine With Cats

Every night when I go to bed it isn't long before a cat shows up. First it will be Kiddoe who will cuddle up next to me and start cleaning her head. After awhile she leaves and another cat jumps on the bed. Lep, the twenty pounder, likes to lay on my pillow and in the process lays on my head. The youngest cat, Lizzie, will stretch out by my legs, leaving less room than a small cat her size should. I usually end up putting her next to me before I get leg cramps. She doesn't mind being moved, unlike the other cats who get offended. Lizzie just goes back to sleep.

I think it would be indeed very lonely if our felines didn't want to snuggle next to us at bedtime, and then of course they wake us up "demanding" their breakfast

Kiddoe is the one who gives the "breakfast meow". My daughter feeds the cats so Kiddoe will sit and meow at her door. We have them on a schedule that often doesn't work out as planned. Lep has urinary tract issues and has to have his own food. He sneaks the other food when we aren't looking. LOL

Yep! Woke up this morning to find two cats in the bed with me. Surprisingly, the one that hates the other one was next to her enemy. LOL

Cats can be bed hogs. I used to have one that would sleep on my head and get mad if you moved.

Our big cat (20lbs!) tries to do that. He takes over my pillow. LOL

@irishidid That is true but I just love that cat since when she wants to leave the bedroom she leaves during the evening hours.

Before I realized that cats made my asthma go crazy, My cat slept with me and she laid under the cover and had her own pillow to lay her head.

My cats rarely get under the covers unless they are cold.
