Hey mylotters From the past month I am trying to wake up early everyday I set up my alarm for 5.30am get up dismiss my alarm and sleep again till 8 and go to office. My motive is to wake up early and do some exercise but laziness always wins. What should I do to get over this laziness ? What would you do if you were in my place ?

Sometimes, changing habits can be really hard. Maybe try to go to bed a little earlier. Changing habits do take time. Hopefully, you'll make it. Best of luck.

@sajeevking So that may explain why you're so tired. So, if you want to wake up earlier you should go to sleep earlier.

I feel you. It is really hard to wake up early especially thinking of exercising. I would prefer sleeping too. But as for me, I have to get up early to prepare the kids to go to school.

You too? Absolutely nothing!! You must adjust to waking up to get all the tiredness out of your system. Lay there and rest for a while to let yourself fully wake up, then you're ready for the morning!!!

I would suggest not trying for such a big change. Try 7 am instead of 5:30 and start working your way back. 1 hour is plenty of time to get some exercise in and still make a big impact. Good luck! :)

Hey @sajeevking, to get up early in the morning is not such a difficult job. First of all, 1 hour before bed be sure to drink one glass of cold water and stop surfing the internet because the blue light from your device could hardly affect your sleep. Second of all, you should make a test and see the average time your body needs to sleep, so if you are able to sleep 5-6 full hours and feel fresh, than your wake up time should be at 6 30. Happy to help you

I think you are too tired already. I experienced this before. I work in an office at 9am to 6.30pm. Back then I got no energy and sleep once back home and tommorrow I cannot wake up early. Just rest more and fully charge then you can do some exercise on the weekend.

Maybe try to take baby steps like start waking up at 0630 to take a quick walk and gradually get up earlier.

Start with getting up and heat the kettle. Thats already a few steps that woke you up a little, then go wash your face and brush your teeth, that is definitely will wake you up.
