If there is one thing I have learned about breeds of dogs is that I should never think that all Pit Bulls are mean monsters.
Case in point is the Pit Bull named Bruce who is owned by Abby Leather who lives in Lawrenceville Georgia who is credited with saving the life of an elderly woman who fell into a pond since she was lost and confused on whereabouts.
The way that Bruce managed to get the attention of his owner Abby was that he was looking out a window.
Bruce started to whine, bark to get the attention of his owner when he went from the window to the front door When Abby decided to open the door.
Bruce then went out to a nearby pond where an elderly lady who in the pond acting like she was disoriented.
Abby then went inside her home to get a blanket to wrap it around the elderly woman who was cold.
Then Abby called the authorities to report the incident. The neighbors and family reported that the elderly lady was missing.
The irony is that Abby named her Pit Bull after Bruce Wayne who is secretly Batman.
The family members reunited with the elderly woman who was in a pond and thanked Abby and Bruce for saving a life.

Bruce proved that Pit Bulls get a bad name from the media.

Those who have them will know their worth. We had one and what a companion, friend and helper he was. He was thoroughly spoiled and would only eat if we hand fed him (lol)

So, had it not been for Bruce's keen sense of instinct, that elderly lady maybe wouldn't have been discovered:( I had a pit-bull for 14 years and Teddy was the sweetest dog on earth:)

It is very true that there are dogs that have been misrepresented. I heard that people said doberman's are bad. When I first came to live here in Jerusalem I stayed at this hotel and someone had a doberman and her name was Donna. She was the sweetest dog.

Fantastic! So good to read a very wonderful life saving event. The pitiful elderly woman had a little hero in the Bruce the pit bull. Bruce is huge too. I wonder if Bruce pulled her out of the pond as well. It's great too that Bruce's human is so nice too. Wonderful story!

Nice post
Most dog attacks are as as a result of poor owners rather than dangerous dogs.
The breed you mention is, I believe, banned in the UK.
Personally, if I had the time, space, money etc I would love to have a rottweiler.
