I am from India and I am not a christian! for us when we say father he is a man who is responsible for bringing us into this World in true sense!
For us Father is a sacred word and my father lived up to it! what else can be the evidence at the age of 59 today I am missing my father when I lost him when he was 75 some ten years back!
If I want to discuss about my father...then I can write a book about him ang his greatness!
I am mentioning his three most beautiful qualities which have made him as my idol and Hero!
1. He was a man of principles and for him justice was always justice then it my be applicable to anyone!
2. He was a honest , sincere and hard working man though he used to come from a very well to do family then!
3. Hw was a man attached to family and never ever left any stone unturned for the benefit of our family!
I lost him physically but then he is always in my heart and in my brain and I feel his presence always around me!
I know you also must be loving your father....May I know the three reasons why you love him or he is your hero dear friend? Thanks!
Kindly respond! God bless us all!

I lost my mother 11 years back and my father is still alive. For me, my father is a friend, still I can play with him like a child. He is getting old and has some troubles on old age. Now I heard he wake up late in morning (9 am) which is very unusual in village. I called up and asked him why he is getting up late, children should get up early and be active then only grow healthy... He laughed on my remarks then said, there is nothing to do on getting up in time. Then almost 4 am he wakes up then get sleep late.... etc
He did much hard work in his young age and educated his 4 children as much they want. I am proud on him always.

Yes dear @Sreekala fathers are attached more to their daughters and well I can understand what you want to say as my sister was also as close to my father just the way you are with your father! Despite getting old just mere presence at the home makes a great difference and that gives a confidence and spread positive energy at the home.
Actually when were studying the Indian economic conditions were very bad and the employers were not getting very good salary. Since that was just ending of first generation and starting of second generation after the Independence the country had had its own problems.
Despite that parents took lot of efforts and worked hard to educate the children. like your father , we three brothers are holding professional degrees and my sister is B Sc graduate.
Thanks a lot for the lovely response dear @Sreekala ! God bless!
