Fresh or Frozen.

What's YOUR preference? Fresh isn't always what it says. Stock is sometimes NOT fresh or has been stored for a time in cold storage. Fresh has a very short life these days. Bananas are a huge culprit. If not eaten within 2 days - forget it. I have to use mine for smoothies or shop every other day. I throw out so much "fresh". On the other hand, frozen is excellent quality and lasts for ages. I just wish there were more choices for frozen.

I do too. I buy meat at reduced prices. Everything is becoming so expensive here. My freezer is a boon.

Bananas? We have bananas here and it could stay for a week.

@toniganzon I don't know really. A few years ago something happened to our banana crops and we were without bananas for a time. Then they were incredibly expensive but now, the price is OK but they only last about 2 days and they are over ripe. They last a bit longer if we can buy them green enough but we usually don't have that option.

I agree that many things do go bad too fast. I miss living on a Farm and growing my own Fresh vegetables. Frozen though is always cheaper anymore even if not always near as good.

Hi Tina, I remember picking fruit from the trees in my dad's mixed orchard. The sun warmed fruit with juicy-ness running down my chin. It's the only way for me. I forgot the aspect of price. Yes frozen is cheaper but I don't find any diminished signs of flavour.
