Lunch From a Food Truck

After the car was finished, we got lunch...we wanted to go to one of our favorite places, Burnt Lemon Grill.
They opened up a new restaurant...a food truck inside a building. There is also another food truck in there that serves Mexican food.
That's a very unique set up.... what do you think? Do you have something like that where you are?

LOL... when the page first loaded, I thought they were selling Burnt Lemonade!! Now that is a name that wouldn't be forgotten!!!

They do sell a burnt lemonade actually, and burnt lemonade ice cream. But they have regular food too. It definitely is a name you wouldn't forget!

That is very interesting a food truck inside a building. I would think it would be outside. We have had ventors on the street that sell food.

Normally they are outside, but this one was very different! Maybe since they can't do it in the winter outside....they made it so it could be indoors all year round.

@MommyOfEli2013 Hm, actually that's a good thought. I love food trucks (even if the ones around here seem expensive for what you get) -- it would be fun to have an indoor place to go

It was very interesting to see, for sure! I guess they did that so they could stay open year round since winter probably is not good for food trucks here lol!

@FayeHazel Just seems smart for places that have awfully cold winters so that people can still get the food truck experience! Some do seem crazy expensive though!

That's sounds so yummy! The City got silly laws, saying that food trucks can only be in one spot for half an hour! They're business people and need to stay in one place until they sell out for the day. My gosh I couldn't believe the law does that, so I protested it by going to twitter and letting them know that the business people need to have more time for selling their food. I feel sorry for them. My Mother when alive had a food truck and she always stayed opened until she sold out for the day. She was lucky for she parked it in the parking lot of the store she ran too. Others have to drive it to park in crowded areas for they probably feel renting a restaurant is too expensive. It's so delicious at food trucks for it's so homemade tasting at food trucks...we called them lunch wagons back in the day. This is such a good idea and maybe it will catch on locally. , has food truck's events locally.

Gee, that's too bad. It's so good eating from food trucks. We got a pass ticket that the health dept. gives to all food prep places, so we know for the place proudly displays it, that we are eating at a very clean place. Let's hope City and State helps out these courageous entrepreneurs to have a permanent place for us to enjoy too!

@oahuwriter Yes it is, but that is life I guess. That's good to hear about the pass ticket.....and yes hopefully they will help with that so they can stay in places permanently. Here I see a taco truck in the same spot daily!

That is a crazy law, for sure....how do they expect people to sell if they can only be in one spot for half an hour!! They definitely need longer, at least a few hours! That's great that your mother had one, and got to park it in the parking lot of her store. We only get "food trucks" here the week of the 4th of July.

I've never seen a food truck inside a building before, very interesting. Every week we have Food Truck Invasion, about 15-20 food trucks all park in the park.

Oh yeah, I can imagine food trucks being popular there. I would love to have my own food truck one day.
