Oh , My!

In the room of the hotel, where we were assigned during our teambuilding , there was a digital weighing scale. The last time I weighed was after our vacation last March 22- 27, and I was at 128 pounds . I was curious of how much I weighed now. I had been doing an everyday about 25-30 minutes exercises, consisting of mostly twisting, dumbbells and calisthenics , but never weighed yet. So, I was so surprised when I weighed and it’s 135 pounds . Oh my! 135 pounds! I thought, I lost some poundage because my stomach isn’t that big anymore though my jeans are a bit tight on the waist , hip and upper legs. Well, maybe my body mass got denser and besides, I like what I see in the mirror now whenever I am dressing up. Do you like your weight and how you look now , than before?

Oh my, 7 pounds is a bit "too much" to think that it's only a matter of "more muscles". I need to lose the 2 pounds I gained during winter, they must be gone by the end of the month. I am only eating grilled meat and grilled vegetables, no cakes, no desserts, I know they will be gone in 7 to 9 days.

Yes, that's what I am thinking of. I use the dumbbells to make my arms denser. Well, getting old means those arms softening. But at least , i am trying to make them denser.

What sort of sadistic hotel puts scales in its bathrooms? That is just cruel.

Yeah, i was surprised when I open the wardrobe cabinet. Maybe because it's a beach resort and the guests keep swimming , they thought they would like the weighing scale which is appreciated much by us .

@SIMPLYD I will tell you what I did but people have to find their own ways to lose weight. It started in the summer maybe two years ago. In summer I do not want to eat much so that is easy and drink more and then carried into winter and usually in winter I want to eat but that winter I did not. I was so surprised and then into winter. i gave up snacks I do not need to eat. I do not eat inbetween meals anymore and just drink till the next meal. I do not eat much so when go out to eat I eat half and take the rest home for another meal. I take medication after my 2nd meal so only eat two meals. I do not eat at night anymore. So that is bascially my story.

There are days, i cannot help craving for burgers and fries. But that happens only about twice a.month. Maybe my exercise is not sufficient to burn them. I only have 15-20 mins a day since I have to budget my time in preparing myself for the office.

Muscle weight is heavier than fat. If I got rid of the belly I would we very happy. I go to the YMCA daily and exercise daily. The first year I lost 50 pounds and I'm comfortable and happy that weight is long gone. I still lose but its about a pound every six months.

@SIMPLYD We joined the YMCA when it opened, it was the first one in our area and my husband and I both knew we needed to exercise and do need to lose pounds. I had gained weight by just not doing any exercise and it was easy to lose those first 50...I still lose but not very fast. We go to the Y every day and do our own exercises. We feel great now that we are both smaller and life is good...

That seems like a lot of weight to gain so quickly, but if you like how you look, that’s fine. I exercise and eat well as well as weigh myself ever day, including while at hotels. I’m content.

Yes, I like how I looked now. I am happy to see myself in shorts and sleeveless fitted t-shirt as my house dress at home. My stomach has deflated. And the love handles are not so protruding anymore. Really , you weigh yourself everyday. You are really a health buff. I only weigh myself whenever i feel I am getting fat.

@DianneN It's hard tp resist delicious foods. Let's just be thankful we have the appetite to eat. Others don' t have that anymore when they get older. Let's just compensate it with eating.

@SIMPLYD You sound in great shape! It’s a habit to weigh myself daily. Sometimes I’m so surprised if I didn’t gain weight after eating a lot. Other times, I get upset with myself, but keep eating too much anyway.
