This trough is too small

I spent four days at the Perth Royal Show helping my nephew with his prize goats. I arrived there early Wednesday morning. On the Friday, the organisers shut the show down as there was a big storm coming through. The rides were all shut down, smaller marquees were dismantled and, where possible, vehicles were removed from under trees.
In our pavilion, we were snug and safe but outside, the wind and rain were very strong. The organisers gave out 7,000 free tickets to allow those inconvenienced to return on the Saturday if they wished. Saturday was the last day of the show and there were good crowds so perhaps some returned to take advantage of their free ticket.
In the pavilion where the goats were housed and judged, were rabbits, cavies (guinea pigs), alpacas, two llamas, a camel, emus, pigs and a children’s corner where they could hold a newly-hatched chicken or pet a piglet or guinea pig.
The photo is of one of the bigger pigs that was on display. He was feeling the heat a bit but his trough wasn’t long enough for his bulk so he made the best of what was available.

@crazyhorseladycx With the 160 kms (100 miles) rides, they often start at midnight to avoid some of the heat during the day. The riders have tiny torches on their helmets but other than that they're riding in the dark unless there is a moon.

Animals lie down in such peculiar poses but if it makes them comfortable then good for them

You are so right about that. Cats in particular get into some strange positions.

The pigs sleep nearly as much as the goats do. Of course, in their pens, there isn't much else they can do.

Someone would have brought the pigs in so that visitors to the show could see them. There were also two sows with little ones.

Just outside they had diving pigs. This is a photo from last year. Firstly four pigs would race each other round a circular race. Then some would run up a race and launch themselves into a pool. They seemed to really enjoy it.
