I dont know if it's been worse the last few days, or I've just been paying more attention but people have been oversharing a ton. Here and on Facebook.
On facebook I have an acquaintance who is going through a divorce, or separation or a they're gonna be mad at each other be dramatic for a couple of weeks and then get back together, but they have been airing all of their dirty laundry all over Facebook.
On here I just clicked on a post where someone was talking about a family member squatting in a building. Like, why would that even be something you would post about?
In both cases, and it others of over sharing, it makes me wonder if people realize what they are posting, or if they just dont care or if they just dont have a filter.
Maybe it's because I generally try to be fairly private about my life. Or whatever.

People love to "share" which brings attention and social media has provided an avenue for that never before at this extreme level.

I think in the case of the oversharing here or at least the example yesterday was that she was sharing about how she was worried about her family member that was homeless and squatting. Shes written in the past that he has stolen from everybody in the family so..... I mean I hate to say it but he made the choices that landed him where he is

Well the case tonight on mylot. It's often the author says things that shouldn't be shared. Or are things I wouldn't want anyone to know if they were happening lol

I share things that even if they are somewhat personal there is no reason not to share, In this way, I can get opinions about certain situations in my life.

I think some just like the notoriety they think they achieve. But I like the puppy picture.

I do think a lot of people do it for the attention and because of this I think that the people that do it for attention might embellish a little.

Yeah, we meet people who don't give it a second thought before speaking out.
