Zoos I have visited: St. Louis Zoo

Yes, I am blatantly ripping off Lori A. Moore’s series on her favorite zoos. That prompted my thinking about zoos I have visited and realization of how few I have visited despite all my travels and advanced age. I am not particularly enamored of zoos and usually pass on them. Once you have seen a giraffe.... Zoos are listed in order in which I visited.
The St. Louis Zoo opened in 1910. I have just the vaguest memory of visiting during an early family vacation road trip. Funny, I can remember riding inside to the top of the St. Louis Arch and going to the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour and Busch Gardens (who remembers those?) but just a whisper that I was at this zoo.

I’ve been to that zoo a couple of times. We had a trivia bash in St. Louis one year, and a group of us arrived just in time to watch a giraffe give birth....and the baby get up and walk!!! 
That zoo was always associated in my mind with Marlin Perkins because of Wild Kingdom.

It sounds like a nice zoo I love going to zoos when I can. I have no way to get to the one in Florida but my favorite, of course, used to be the Bronx Zoo in NYC and in the Catskills a place called The Catskill Game Farm but it has since closed.

We don't have zoo in our small city. We have to go to the country's capital to see different kinds of animals. The first and the last visit I had together with my wife and two kids was sometime in 1986. That's was 34 years ago that I had seen a giraffe personally.

I think Marlin Perkins was heavily involved there. Sis is a fan of the Columbus Zoo which is Jack Hanna's place. She has met him.

I remember the Bern zoo because of the baby tigers. I also loved a zoo in the South of Miami. But the place where I have seen more animal although I don´t know if I could call it a zoo is Animal Kingdom in Disneyworld.

The only other zoo I've been to other than the Cleveland Zoo was the San Diego Zoo.
