All Good Things Must Come to an End

Well, as much as I dreaded it, the fun weekend of camping finally came to an end. And just in time too, as it is a scorching hot day out there today, with very high winds feeding across the state into tropical storm Arthur. Thankfully, the storm is no threat to us, although we could have used the rain.
I was hoping for a nice, quiet day at work today to ease back into the work week, but it has been an absolute sh*t show today. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night.
The only thing that has helped me get through the day with a smile is thinking about how much fun I had this weekend. Can't wait to plan something fun over the next couple of weekends.

We're getting lots of rain today, in our area of Michigan. Four inches of water, in 24 hours! Our front yard looks like a fish pond lol That hurricane is really hitting the coast of North Carolina

@moffittjc It started raining yesterday and hasn't stopped for a second day! We got almost nothing in April, which is most generally our rainy month

@moffittjc Today was very nice outside. I ended up riding with one of my daughters to the flea market to straighten up our booth and dust. There was a lot of dust! I think we have figured out how to rearrange everything too so more work coming there soon. Since she isn't working anymore she is into making what she can there. I had to laugh today while we were cleaning. She says, "We have to teach Payton (her daughter) how to dust!) It is so much easier and faster with two people going in to do the job!

Our weekend was a good long holiday weekend.
We had a beautiful warm and sunny day on Saturday, rain on Sunday and on/off rain and wind today.
Tomorrow will probably be beautiful as we are all back to work, and the long-term forecast is warm for next weekend, which will be welcomed.

@moffittjc Next week we should start to see seasonable temperatures.
I did bring in my 2 salad planters, just so that the wind didn't break them off. They are really healthy looking and I'd like to keep them that way.

I was caught off guard by the high amount of wind we had today, but I should have put two and two together and realized that the tropical storm was sitting just off our coast. I just hope those high winds don't stir up additional wildfires!
Glad to hear you are warming up. Won't be long now before you're enjoying summer!

My Mondays are usually pretty brutal as is, but I knew this one was going to be bad because I couldn't fall asleep last night. I'm a hot mess when I don't get my beauty sleep!
Sorry to hear you had a terrible migraine. Do you take any medication for it?

Two days. Well, two nights. We went Friday afternoon, camped Friday night, then went tubing on the river all day Saturday, then camped Saturday night, and then packed up and headed home Sunday around lunch time. So it was a nice little short camping trip.

@moffittjc Not bad at all. And sounds like a fun getaway. I would not go tubing on the river though but only cause I'd be afraid.
When I was a kid/teen I used to go on roller coasters and call those that didn't "chickens" in my head. Now I am the "chicken" here.

I hope Arthur does not make it your way and that you are safe. You do not need that during this crisis of the virus. Three hours of sleep I would say does not help. I am so glad you had a fun weekend and it makes you smile. Monday was fine because I did not have to go out. Today, I had to go out and it was ok.

Thankfully Arthur stayed mostly out to sea. It did graze the Outer Banks in North Carolina, but it was mostly just a rain event.
