Easing Back Into Writing

Easing back into writing...
that is my mind set now. How long has it been? More than a month according to my profile. More than a month of not writing a single post here in the site. All I did was read, comment, and interact.
Anyway, as I continue with this post, let me just say that it feels good writing again.
What would I write about?
Well, there's our country reverting back to a lockdown. We have the longest lockdown. We have the highest death rate and all the stats are pointing that our government is an epic failure in handling this pandemic. Of course, the government being the government is blaming the people for what is happening.
Then, there are the items that I got online. I got a couple of shirts, shorts, and shoes. Not that I'm going anywhere special but retail therapy does work.
Then there is the new month of August. Ghost month. Should we board up our houses to prepare for the impeding monster onslaught this month?
To Wrap It Up...
I'm glad to be able to write again. I sure miss writing. Oh and one more thing, 'Welcome back allen0187!!!'

It is a belief shared among Asian countries. During the ghost month, it is believed that the gates of Hell open and ghosts roam the world freely.
Children, the elderly and sick people are advised not to go out as bad spirits will do them harm. Ghost month is believed to generally bring bad luck to everyone. Even disasters and bloody incidents that occur during this time is attributed to it being the Ghost month.
People are cautioned not to make any major investments or plan any major life events like weddings as it will be hampered with misfortune.

@allen0187 Goodness! The Dark Middle Ages aren't over yet. I'm glad that I'm not affected by such superstitions.

I'm not affected by it either. Still, it doesn't hurt to know such things. I'm interested in folkloric beliefs.

@allen0187 I don't think it's helpful to be constantly complaining to the government. Were supposed to be the Government not govt as separate identity..

@Letranknight2015 we wouldn't be constantly complaining if the government its job properly. They have failed us constantly, hence the constant complaining that they rightfully deserve.

I hope your ghost month is going smoothly. You have quite a bit to write about. Ghost month . . . it sounds like the Halloween activities a bit, here. Do you celebrate Halloween? It is the day before All Saints' Day and many people have superstitions regarding it.

So, you shop online. Do you like the items? I like of course you like it because you bought it - I mean do you like the quality? I asked because I still like buying in a physical store so that I can see and feel the item.

@allen0187 oh a lot! Mostly the veggies you'd put in pinakbet plus a lot of leafy greens - mustard, pak choy, pechay, kangkong, spinach etc.
