I have learned to be careful with my money as I had a mortgage which was challenging to pay off. These days I have an emergency account to use when my bank account gets low. Things can come in threes like heating, shower and a car. Then all of them cost a lot of money. I have learned to improve my home when I have the right amount of funds. I would like to get a new driveway. My friend said I could make my driveway wider so it is easier with my son's wheelchair. How about you?

Yup, it's important to have emergency fund. I try to save every month and try my best not to dig in the cookie jar. Sometimes things happened and I have to use some of it. At least I have some savings. What would happened if I don't?

Hello Notlilie. I didn't have an emergency fund in my early adult years. I have three small saving accounts on my main current account. When I can afford it I add 10 pounds to each of them. Then if my bank account gets low I can avoid going overdrawn. I have my emergency savings at a different bank. I have had lots of things break at home. Therefore I think I have improved so much I do have money to use in an emergency. Well done for saving every single month. I do as well.

Hello Rhuenz. It is never too late to learn about money. So please don't worry. One idea I have is write how much you are spending in a paper notebook. I know I overspend on groceries. I will set up an amount I can go to.
