A Time For Everything.......

She put her arms around her
Calmed her asking what was the matter?
Its my pinafore skirt she said
I cannot see to stitch
No one wants to know or help me
They laugh and think its funny
So the girl picked up the said skirt
With needle and cotton she hemmed the said skirt
Hemmed it properly
So it would not come undone
Gave it back to the woman
Who had always been her Mom
Woman´s face lit up
Girl heard a thank you from her beaming face.
This was ages ago now and she could not bear to see the other woman´s distress and the smirking silly face of all the rest of them.
She wiped the silly smile off their jeering faces as she handed the said skirt back to her Mother.
She was wholly content with her sewing work and the other smiling away at her.
Days like that between us were indeed very far and few between but the time we made up for was something that really should have always been.

For me its not sad its a happy time don´t really know what to call it.
Really its what I always would have done been willing to do but she never let me get near it was the way it was.
I cannot be sad about rather glad that I have a good memory of what I did manage to reach her.

Thank you Jan its about my Mom when she was not well then at all and they were supposed to be caring for her not what I would call it at all.
She was very attached to that pinafore skirt as it was not tight across the waist but none of those silly nits knew how to sew so they gawped at me when I handed it back to her very well sewn.
I learned to sew being over here from my friend Lumy.
Its a good memory of how we really should have been all of our lives cept that id never turned out that way till the very end.

Yes those times I could count on my fingers very very few and far between so I am always happy to have a memory like this one.

Thanks but I have and am still learning a lot from all of that not all in one piece but a bit here and a bit there.
What hurts the most is that they refuse to tell the truth that they know.

Reminded me of the time when my grandma asked me to thread for her, she said, 'I can't see anything, can you help me?' (I was very puzzled back then why she couldn't see the eye of the needle.) - Now that I am facing that similar problem, I have begun to understand.
