“a lot of times
we are angry at other people
for not doing what
we should have done for ourselves
- responsibility”
--Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers
This morning, as we were doing our clean-up drive, someone said that we are "pasweldo ng gobyerno" (paid by the government) thus we have to clean the front of their house.
Like WHAT???
Okay, our honoraria is from the taxes, yes so she is right since she is taxpayer. O-K. Who are we to argue? But...
It is front of HER HOUSE that we are cleaning. It is hers, not ours. We are just being "responsible" public servant too, that the reason why we clean that part is to have those leaves, masks and plastic bottles be gone when floods come. We don't want to see "floaters", and we will be held responsible again for not doing anything.
I think it is best for her not to say anything if she cannot be grateful.
Sigh...
Oh well...

Somebody very wise said "if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all" I think when your neighbor's teacher in "Good Manners and Right Conduct" gave a lecture on this topic your neighbor was absent or was sleeping in class

That`s not so nice It is still a hard work. People should not be polluting the place. They should know where to properly put their garbage to avoid hard work like that in the first place

I think you're right. She's the one not being responsible if her yard is a mess. Does everyone years have that lower spot that had to be kept clear of junk?

It is really a upset thing.I think you are responsible for public service rather than personal service.someone seem to be not realizing this, then they tell some unsuitable words,so sad.
