Freshly Cut Flowers And The Scent Of Them.....

I kept getting the scent of fresh flowers Normally in there is a shop that sells plants but they never smell like real flowers. Alongside me came this guy with a basket of freshly cut flowers and I could really smell those flowers even though he was a distance from me. It made my day for a moment to be able to get the scent of them as normally any flowers you can see are stuck up on high balconies and its never the same is it? Actually they are forbidden on balconies or the growing of them anywhere. The potted flowers in the shop are lovely colour but with no scent in them so I knew this guy had a plot of land somewhere because these flowers were grown by him as he had tools in his basket too. Some lucky lady will get them for sure.

@CarolDM There is a lot of industrial produced flowers here so that is probably the reason and same with the fruit and veggies.

Its kind of funny really because they don´t have built in balconies here for some reason unknown to me. Never mind I find all the flowers I can but the ones in that shop just do not have any scent not kidding either. Look beautiful and all that but with no scent like what?

@lovinangelsinstead21 Makes you wonder where the flowers come from . A factory instead of a garden maybe.

Aw... not permitting growing pots in the balcony is so unfair. They can standardize you may grow only like this.

For some reason that is what they are doing here although you do have a few places that are defying them left right and centre. I think its fair to have a few and for them to be tied into a place where they are not likely to be blown away by wind and stuff and it can be done. Some people had really lovely pots of flowers and now most gone.

@vandana7 I know they do its just the way things are being done at the moment. I find my own flowers and trees wherever I can. Flowers are expensive also and with no scent no way am I going to buy them.

It really does make you feel good I know. There are a few wild flowers left that we can get to be by for the next few weeks at least.

Before Pretty and I moved we always brought in flowers from our yard. We loved the scent of lilac filling our house.

I like lilac too but you won´t find much of that out here maybe in the deep deep forest but that is much further out. Can´t you have flowers where you are now then?

@lovinangelsinstead21 Oh, yes, it's just that it took me 22 years to plant everything at the other house, so it's taking me some time to plant this new yard.

Its always nice yes. The potted flowers in the shop well outside the shop don´t smell of anything at all but you know that they are flowers except that sadly there is no scent.

When flowers with different aroma are together that scent is totally different.

You are so right they were different flowers but all together in the basket. It was not even a very warm day but the aroma was reaching me loud and clear.

What do you call those flowers in the picture? Are they the ones you're talking about in this discussion? They are beautiful .

Actually they are not the same flowers but something like them its a photo of my own of a lady that grew flowers where we lived. Sorry I don´t know the name of them only that the scent was really nice and so were the flowers I got a scent of yesterday.
