Pearl Harbor Day, I was just mentioning a few days ago, I was able to go to Hawaii in 2007 and saw oil still coming up from the Arizona. That was quite mind boggling. Anyway, cold here and there is a slim possibility of snow showers tonight and tomorrow morning. However, even if we get anyway, it won't amount to much. Probably not even a dusting. I would love a nice coating of snow...but probably not this time. Nothing really planned for today, but to do my walking and whatever else I have the strength to muster.

. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I think I will do some cookie baking then.

Pearl Harbor is one of the places in the United States I would love to visit one day.

It's worth it, and you can also see the Missouri, the battleship where they signed the peace treaty or at least the cessation of hositllites after WWII. We really didn't have the time on that trip I would have liked. We basically had to run through that battleship, didn't get to really soak it in.

Ten hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan bombarded the Philippines, then under the Commonwealth Period of the United States. MacArthur abandoned his troops. Bataan fell April 9, 1942. USS Bataan, an assault ship, was named after the Fall of Bataan.
