Great question! I have been potty training my 25 month old son since he was 16 months. Whew....he is daytime trained, but not nighttime. Do not push him if he is not ready-it can cause regression. Sometimes kids are afraid of the potty and need to get over the fear before training can occur. If this is not the case, it may be that the child does not want to do it (which is very common) or that they are simply not ready. Patience and persistency are musts during potty training. If the child likes being rewarded, try that too. Mine did not care for the attention-he is just a get this done type of kid. Nevertheless, all kids are potty trained by the time they enter college!!! LOL!!! No, it will happen sooner-just be patient and make sure you are very persistent. You cant do it one day and not the next! Good luck!
