I got a thing about grief today

Excuse me while I gather myself... My marriage wasn't even close to traditional. I mean, yes we loved each other, but more as sisters than anything else. I can go along all day and not get weepy. And then I get this thing in the mail. I take it into my room and read it. One page says 7 reasons it is good to cry. No. I can think of one really good reason to not cry. Crying gives me a migraine! And yet, I keep reading these things and try to not cry. And I cry. And then my head hurts, again. Some more. This is hard. Yeah, the things all said it is hard. It isn't like this is the first person I've lost. Yes, it is the first spouse I've lost. And honestly, this hasn't been a big surprise. I knew before I asked them to remove life support that this was going to be the result. But this is turning out to be even harder than I thought it would be.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy. My dad passed away over 20 years ago, I still cry every time something reminds me of him. It gets lesser and lesser as time goes by but it never really goes away. Take it easy.

@ElicBxn Interesting. I had similar dream. Was in a house trying to fix it, then another family member that had also passed away came in to help.

I lost my dad over 37 years ago, yeah... it is easier now than it was then. In fact, I dreamed the other night that I was in the house we moved out of in 1973 and could hear Dad saying something in another room. I think it was almost like Dad was saying that Viv was there...

I am so sorry...Nothing you can really do unfortunately but wait it out unless you get some grief therapy that is.

I am going to get some therapy, but right now it needs to wait just a bit. Things... ya know... I've been dealing with stuff, but it is hard, sometimes harder than others. This - thing - was really hard.

I am so sorry, I can imagine how hard it is, but there is nothing else you could have done. Sometimes we know what it is better to do, but this will hurt us for a long time.

So sorry to hear. It's so difficult for you as you get migraines. We humans can't control our emotions at times. I can understand the pain of losing dear one. Try doing prayers and take care

You need to give yourself time. Some hurts are too deep and are never fully heal. But over time, we get used to them and learn to cope up and move. Take care
