Another exam day...a nice spot on bus stop...

Good morning from this side of the planet 
. It's 10AM here. It's cloudy and breezy.
. Sun is playing hide and seek with the clouds and the weather is gorgeous .
It's Sunday here and another day for exam. 
This one is for my elder one. It's actually a personal interview and portfolio presentation at the campus of a reputated institute of design. She qualified till here 
. Though the institute is not the one she prefers because the discipline of her choice is not there, she chose to appear for it to get an experience. And also it would be a preparation for few more colleges that have selected her and would call her later in April, May and June. She will be writing her Secondary school board exams also in May and June . It's been a relay of exams for her since last November . And I guess most students of her age go through this in our country. The competition is stiff and you can not rely on a single plan. So, maybe this institute might be her plan B if things don't work out for Plan A. She is clear that she will keep trying for her plan A next year if it doesn't work this time . That's life and you don't have to give up
It's a beautiful campus but only candidates are allowed inside. And there is no point going back home to come back again to pick her. I will be on roads..
I didn't have to venture much around in this beautiful lush green location. I found a bus stop just outside the institute gate and it's quiet one. I have not seen any bus passing on this residential road in last one hour. Though there is a board with route numbers and timing here. The traffic is also less being a Sunday. Just few cycles and cars have passed so far.
So it's quiet, cool and breezy and I have a good spot to spend some time reading and mylotting . I carry a book too
I don't think I have to worry about another two hours. I am going to have a good time
Tomorrow is my younger one's exam and I am not so fond of that location due to the noisy busy road. My noise cancellation headphone is in my bag and it will find it's use tomorrow.
The picture has been sent by my brother's wife. It's the artwork that I made and gifted them when I visited their new house in the last November. She has got it framed and now it adores one wall of their new house. She said it looks better than what the picture shows

This would be an interesting experience for your elder one. There are so many difficult exams to pass, I think this is the same in most countries, I know it's hard here in Switzerland. A nice campus with a park is surely a better place than the one where your younger has to go. Those artwork in the picture are all beautiful.

First she thought of skipping it as she was not interested in the discipline there. And she was not happy about taking the pain of traveling and giving her time. I just asked her to meet it as an experience. She was glad later that she did . She found the experience enlightening. Standing in front of a set of experts and presenting your portfolio would be some experience for 18 years old

@arunima25 I am sure it was quite an experience for your daughter. I remember when I was 18 and I went in front of the Managers of a big Japanese Bank to discuss (in English) my candidature to be part of their staff... they accepted me.

Thank you for your wishes. . They are giving their best. I can relate to that. I was never stressed out but I had friends in the college who will develop a lot of anxiety and stress during exams.

@RebeccasFarm Well, today my younger one is writing one paper and the last one is on Monday. For elder one, there are few more till June. But she has started getting few offer letters from good colleges with good scholarship too. So, things have started on positive note

Life certainly sounds busy for you as your girls have their exams. Finding a perfect place to wait is a challenge but I wish your girls good luck with the exams and especially your daughter to get Plan A and not have to go to Plan B

Thank you so much for your kind wishes. We too pray for her Plan A to work. She got few good offers from good colleges and with good scholarship program too. We expect to hear from few more by the end of June and then we can sit and decide the best one among the offers that we have. So, it's wait and watch. But things have started on a positive note
Today younger one is writing another paper and I am spending some time in a mall that is 20 minutes drive. I needed some shoes. Now after some rest, I will go window shopping. . Her last paper is on Monday. The results will be out in the end of June and depending on her scores, we have to apply to various Pre University colleges.

I needed shoes very badly. Well, shoes are one thing that I am not comfortable buying online. I need to feel the comfort of wearing it before purchasing. I went for shoe shopping after almost eight years and I have got myself three pairs. Good to go for another few years

Great share Arunimaji. You are lucky that you got clouds in Bengaluru. In Kolkata for the last 1 month there has been no rain. Temperature has shot to 38 degree celsius. And still there are no norwesters called kalbaisakhi over here

The pleasant weather here was very short lived. It's getting hot here too, it is very unusual for Bangalore to get this kind of hot weather. But then Global warming and climate change has not spared any place. Bangalore too feels like North India now for some parts of summer.

We have got few good options for my elder daughter now and we will decide the best among them once we hear from other colleges too.
Younger one has got seat in the Secondary school of her choice and we have booked the seat. Thankful to God for all.

Thank you for your wishes. Younger one is writing her board exams. It's graduating High school and entering pre University. So, her scores will help her choose subjects of her choice.
Elder one is graduating from senior secondary ( pre University) and is writing entrances for her selection in the good University.
Both are in a graduating stage and moving forward to a new stage.

I am happy that you liked the Mandala artwork. My brother and his wife loved it and that makes me happy . Well, our house is in the middle of the huge apartment complex and it's peaceful. Living next to busy roads would be horrible.
Anyway the exams got over on Monday and that's a big relief. A big project is over.
