Luckily, 'the People Telling You that Democracy is Dying' have NO IDEA what ''Democracy'' is!

I'll start with the big politics-nerd "Umm, Actually ...": Umm, Actually? our government is a "democratic republic." That said, our government's relationship with "Democracy" begins-&-ends with 'voters installing new officials & removing current ones (BY installing new officials ... impeachment is something the officials do; maybe on constituents' advice, but no additional "authority" comes from The People after they've voted for you).' The main power of democracy---BUYING & SELLING (and all the actions that flow into- and from-those actions ... producing more-or-less, volunteering more-or-less, giving more-or-less, etc.) This is important for me because--though I've "voted" in every Presidential election since 2000--my votes only "counted" when I voted for 'the wrong guy' (Bush Jr. & Trump). https://ballotpedia.org/Presidential_voting_history_by_state That's something people don't like about the Electoral College---in many States, your vote gets wiped out if you vote for the candidate who--though they might win in enough other States to take the Presidency--wins too-few votes in YOUR State.

So, who is cruel here? I voted in presidential election in the hope that he would change the country to what I expected.

That reminds me of 'sports-watchers who yell at their television-screens as if it will make the athletes run faster' Oh! in Indonesia? that's not part of America somehow, is it? What the Electoral College is---in most of America's 50 States (and Districts or whatever), each State selects 'a limited number of people' who agree to vote for the President we choose. (Our ballots don't even MENTION these people, but they are the ones whose votes are counted in our Presidential election.)

Agreed. The electoral college guarantees that the people who live in fly-over states get equal representation. Without it, we would be ruled by the coastal states.
