Were you a majorette before?

Kids were playing in front of my shop and you know kids, one moment they were having fun, the next thing I knew they were fighting. One girl was saying something like ‘Your mother is a majorette!’ to which the other girl countered ‘Your pillows are hard!’ I was baffled! What the heck was that all about? Loll Coz growing up, my mother made all our pillows not from cotton but from used clothings. So yeah, our pillows were hard. Please don’t judge. Like my aunts who would ask why our pillows were like rocks. 
Now I have my own family and we have our own pillows. Of course, their pillows are soft. But mine, it’s the same as before. Hard as a rock.

that reminds me of when I was 13 years old, I washed all our pillows because I thought they needed a good wash.. But they did not dry.. so we were without pillows for I don't remember how long.. But I do remember the dirty looks I got every night from everyone at bed time.. ahahahah!!.. I think until now, they hate me for it..

I don’t see a majorette as being something that would be considered an insult.
I have four pillows on my bed, two soft ones and two hard ones. I usually sleep much better on the hard ones.

The search for the just right pillow goes on and on for me.
I was never a drum major or majorette, but my youngest sister (lots older than I) was her high schools drum majorette.

Oh how cute . . . I don't know how I would even become a majorette at that age. I found out about what a drill team was in 6th grade . . . our school didn't have that. I like low, flat pillows . . . but I think of livingroom pillows as harder ones . . . but never as hard as rocks .

I don't want a very soft pillow. I want it a bit solid. I actually use two pillows at night because I want it a bit high
