It depends on what we decide to eat for the meal. If we eat pasta and meat, like spaghetti, then Pretty might make garlic bread to go with it. We don't usually eat desert at home. But we might have a piece of cake for a "snack" a couple of hours after we eat a meal. Most of the time, I make a one-dish meal, like Shepherd's pie. It has ground beef, tomatoes, cheese and mashed potatoes in made in layers and served hot from the oven. (We might eat Shepherd's pie once in a month.)

@m_audrey6788 It is really good... I brown ground beef in a pan and then grease a baking dish and put the cooked meat in that and then put canned tomatoes over the cooked beef. Then I put a layer of sliced American cheese over the tomatoes. I make a batch of mashed potatoes and spread those over the cheese and then put another single layer of sliced cheese on the mashed potatoes. Then I put the baking dish in the oven at 350F for half an hour. Take it out when done and I cut the "pie" into servings. I make enough for six servings in one pan.

It depends on what I'm making. If it's an all-in-one casserole, no. I don't need anything else. Otherwise, I'll make the main food - meat, fish, or poultry, and add a potato and vegetables. I don't eat desserts very often.

I just prepare one meal if all the family members are here. If not, just reheat leftovers.

I usually have more than one dish and when I have guests it is even more because I start with appetizers. I like salads when there are too many carbs and love something sweet at the end.
