Week 23 at Goodwill

Mylotter friends, while I'm resting and recuperating from yesterday, a long day between work and then the zoo event. Yesterday morning, I had interrupted sleep, due to my noisy neighbor who had loud music/company over in the after-hours once again. I thought I'll drop in this afternoon to share last week's busy week at Goodwill during the 4th of July week. I'll share photos of Hallie, Anne, and Cookie tomorrow afternoon after work with a report on how it went tonight at the picnic and the search. And I'll do some catch-up when I'm home on posts tonight and throughout this week too. No employee coaching happened last week. So I might happen sometime this month. If and when it does, I'll let you know what happens on that weekly report. Here's the lowdown of last week's sorting quotas from high to low: Yesterday, though fatigued, I pushed through and worked hard, though my manager wanted me to do one bin an hour. I knew I couldn't do it possibly with a low energy level. Nonetheless, I persevered and managed to eek out 3 bins even by the time my shift ended. Last Thursday, I got close to 3 bins at 2.65 bins. Last Friday, I got even closer at 2.85. That's as close as you could get for the week. Last Monday, it was another purge Gaylord day. Before that, I sorted out a bin that had 0.25 left of donations left. Then I tackled a gaylord that took me all day long (mainly 4 hours) to clear out exhaustively all by myself. If you count the gaylord, it would be 2 bins or 1.25 bins overall. Phew! Nonetheless, I hope to work on being top speed (one bin an hour, full or otherwise), and get closer to 4. I would love to hit 3-3.25 bins this week or still come close to 3, no matter what. Maybe this fall, I could be cross-trained to be a textile processor to tag and hang clothes. But if only I'm fast and hit 4 bins. I seriously doubt I can do 5 bins in a 5 hour shift. Four is the max I'll probably go nowadays. I'll check in with you all tomorrow afternoon and evening. Have a good Sunday!
