Two good things

First, I got the stent removed yesterday from the blocked kidney stones. It didn't hurt at all and is a relief to have it out. Second, I feel a little bit of hair growing! I know it will take a while since chemo made it all fall out, but it will be interesting to see what color and texture it will be. My hair before cancer was a pretty silver and a little wavy. Hopefully it will eventually be like that again. But for now, I have two things to be semi happy about. Now if I could get rid of these muscle aches and pain all over, I'll feel much better. Seeing my Rheumatologist on Monday so hoping he can figure it out. My legs have hurt ever since I started chemo. But this was so weird. It was Sunday before last, I was sitting on the couch and I actually felt the pain moving from my lower body into my arms, shoulders, and neck. I know I'm strange at times, but this was too strange. And I've been hurting all over since. No pain meds that I've found have helped at all. But I do have those two things to be thankful for. And I'm looking forward to church Sunday, a good friend of ours is preaching and another good friend is going to be singing. Hope you guys have a great weekend.

@LindaOHio No, when it's cleaned and filleted, the way Dale fries it is delicious.

Bless you, Vicki. You are one tough cookie. I am very glad that stent is out now, and maybe that will be one less annoyance for you. And, how exciting that your hair is growing back! I have an acquaintance who is contemplating shaving her head (she got a short haircut that she hates) to start over, but I told her it may grow back differently. I imagine yours will be beautiful no matter what it grows back like. I look forward to hearing what the rheumatologist has to tell you. I hope she has some answers that can help you get rid of the pain.

Thanks, Amber. It's not excruciating, but just constant. I wish I could at least find something for a little relief.

Yes, those are two good things to be thankful for. Like@CaroIDM mentioned, nerve pain is difficult to treat, but there are painkillers that should work - if it is nerve pain. Let's hear what the Rheumatologist says.

I take Gabapentin for nerve pain after the lung surgery and it works really well. But this must be something different.

I hope you find answers soon. Nerve pain can often be hard to treat and all over our bodies. Take care.

Nerve pain are the worst, I hope you will soon feel better. For the moment you are at least without the stent and the good news is that your hair regrows.

Happy that you got the stent out and your hair is growing. Concerning the pain in your body, I think if milk suits you, you can take it warm with turmeric regularly to reduce the pain.
