Another Hot Day in Georgia

Another hot day in Georgia. The temperature almost hit one hundred today. Our swimming pools have been closed most of the summer so there’s no cooling off at the swimming pools.
How many of you remember The Golden Girls? I’m watching one of their old shows tonight. It’s surprising these shows have run so many years and are still popular.
It was so hot today I went to the gym to ride the stationary bike rather than my usual walk. It’s almost like an oven out there. Not a day for a pleasant walk. It was nice and cool in the gym and I rode about five miles.
I hope all my Mylot friends had a cool pleasant day.

It was too hot today in my part of Missouri, too. Our high was 98F with a real feel of 108F.
I'm glad you got exercise at the gym instead of trying to go walking.

@RubyHawk We had cloud cover most of the day and were still too hot. There's a 50% chance of rain/storms overnight. If that happens, it should be cooler for a while tomorrow. We'll see.
The forecast shows a high of 90F tomorrow with rain and a high of 76F on Friday with more rain/storms.

The weather in the Lake Charles are was under a heat advisory from noon to 7 pm today with no rain scheduled for at least one week.

@Deepizzaguy I hope for both of us to get a few days of rain at the least. I’m tired of the heat and in a couple of month I’ll be dreading the cold.

It was hot here too....but I know over there it is humid.
I still watch the Golden Girls, and the follow up show Golden Palace.

@RubyHawk that’s a shame. They really should be open in this type of heat. The last time I lived in Georgia was in the early 80’s. We would go swimming at High Falls State Park.

@Tampa_girl7 We used to go swimming at the falls on Cloudland mountain and to a falls near pigeon Forge. When we lived near Allatoona Lake we went swimming and boating there.

I remember the Golden Girls and loved to watch it. There are people that love the old shows and love to watch them over and over again and others do not like to watch them. I bet you did the want to leave the gym where it was nice and cool. You really get hot weather there. The picture in this post is it another one you drew. It is very good.

@LindaOHio My little grandson almost had a heat stroke one summer. He and other kids were playing in the yard. My son noticed the child was dawdling. He checked on the boy and rushed him in the house and placed him in a bathtub of water. He was okay after he cooled off. But we didn’t let him play in the sun again that summer.

I am a big fan of The Golden Girls I have gone through the series at least twice and will watch again when I can, Why are the swimming pools closed? I hope you have a good weekend and find ways to cool off,
